I know, call me a queen but I love Ethel Merman. I love her movies, I loved her on the Love Boat, and yes, alas, I have one of her cds. But a part of why I loved her so much is that she reminded me of my Grandmother. They looked the same, sounded the same, and had a larger than life personality. So in a way, I have always felt connected to her like my grandmother. And one of my favorite songs by Ethel Merman,is You're the Top.
I have never seen this clip! How wonderful. A time of such class and easy style that never failed to entertain.
