Dame Bassey was Spine Tingling......

Dame Shirley Bassey is one of my favorite chanteuses ,and did she ever give my spine some chills up and down as she sang Goldfinger. And at 77 the Dame still has it. I think my jaw was gapping through the whole song, as I was grabbing for my smelling salts.. AMAZING!

Meanwhile, Jennifer Hudson had great range, but did she murder that song with screeching? It was like nails going down a chalk board or was it just me? She could have sang that much better.

Returning soon........

  1. I loved 'em both, but JHud's song always gets to me--even back in the day when it was JHol's song--so she wins by a nose.
But Damn that Dame can sing!

  3. Oh, I agree! Shirley Bassey has still got the pipes to belt it out. Her song was my favourite part of the Oscars last night, although Adele did a helluva job on Skyfall too. But Jennifer Hudson came across like a screamin' beyotch!

    1. I agree to with you. I'm a huge fan of Jennifer Hudson and the song, but why did she feel the need to scream and carry on the lines so long? I like better when she sings "normal" So many do this,we know you can sing.

  7. Bassey was MAGNIFICENT! There’s a reason she’s the only singer to do THREE Bond themes…
